Use HumVision Offline

How the license check-in works when you are off-grid.

Use this when

You are heading into the field without internet access — a remote lake, a boat with no cell coverage, or anywhere you cannot reach the license server — and want to know how long the app will keep working.

Before you start

HumVision validates your account when you sign in and again each time you open the app while online. The timestamp of that last successful check-in is stored on your computer.

How the offline window works

HumVision runs fully offline for up to 90 days after your last successful check-in.

The app moves through three stages as days accumulate without a check-in:

Days offlineWhat happens
0 – 29Full access, no warnings.
30 – 39A yellow banner appears. Tap Refresh now next time you are online.
40 – 89The banner turns red. You can still open and review recordings.
90 or moreThe app locks and returns to the sign-in screen.

Checking in when you return online

  1. Connect to the internet.
  2. Open HumVision. It checks in automatically on launch.
  3. If a warning banner is still visible, tap Refresh now in the banner to check in immediately.

The banner clears once the check-in succeeds.

What you should see

The banner disappears. The last synced date in Settings > Billing updates to today.

If it does not work

  • Banner stays after tapping Refresh now — the check-in did not complete. Confirm you have an active internet connection, then tap Refresh now again.
  • App locked before 90 days — reinstalling HumVision clears the stored timestamp and resets the clock to zero. Sign in again to restore access.
  • No internet available mid-trip — you do not need to check in while you are out. As long as you checked in within the past 90 days before leaving, the app will keep working.
