Create a Project
Group recordings into a single case.
Use this when
You want to group related recordings into one place — for example, all scans from a single lake survey or fishing trip.
Before you start
You need at least one recording in your library. Projects are containers; they do not import or convert files on their own.
Create a project
- Click Projects in the left sidebar.
- Click New Project in the top-right corner of the Projects screen.
- Type a name in the Project name field. Names must be unique and no longer than 60 characters.
- Click Create.
HumVision opens the new project detail screen immediately.
What you should see
An empty project screen with the heading you typed and a prompt that says "This project is empty." The project also appears in the grid on the Projects screen.
If it does not work
- The Create button stays disabled — the name field is blank or contains only spaces. Type a name and the button activates.
- "A project with this name already exists" — you already have a project with that exact name (case-insensitive). Pick a different name.
- "Name must be 60 characters or fewer" — shorten the name and try again.
