Share a Recording with Your Team
Push a recording to the shared workspace.
Use this when
You want to push a single recording into your team's shared workspace so teammates can see it, download it, and open it on their own machines.
Before you start
- You must be on a Team or Department plan. The share option is hidden on Trial and Pro.
- You must be signed in and connected to the internet. The menu item is disabled while offline.
- The recording must already be in your library.
Share a recording
- Open the Library screen.
- Right-click the recording you want to share (or click its context-menu icon).
- Click Share with team.
- A toast appears: *"Shared with [your team name]. Uploading files..."*
- The app uploads the recording files in the background. A second toast appears when the upload finishes: *"Recording upload complete."*
You can keep working while the upload runs. The recording card in the Shared screen will show an Uploading badge until the transfer is done, then switch to Synced.
What you should see
On the Shared screen, your recording appears with a chip showing Uploading or Synced. Teammates on the same plan and organisation can see it immediately after the metadata is written, even before the upload finishes. They can only download it once the chip shows Synced.
If it does not work
- "Share with team" is not in the menu — your account is on Trial or Pro. Sharing requires a Team or Department plan.
- Menu item is greyed out — you are offline or the recording is currently uploading. Reconnect and try again.
- Toast says "Share failed - check your connection and try again." — a network error interrupted the metadata write. Check your connection and right-click the recording again.
- Toast says "Upload failed - check your connection and try again." — the file upload was interrupted after the metadata was saved. The recording will show Failed in the Shared screen. Right-click it in the Library and share again to retry.
